BKM DFS

BKM Copper Project is located  in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The ore is amenable to acid leaching and the proposed  development is based on conventional open-pit mining, heap leaching, solvent extraction (SX)  and electrowinning (EW) to produce copper cathodes.

Asiamet engaged NewPro to undertake a Definitive feasibility study for the BKM Copper Project.

Before commencing the heap leach DFS, NewPro also studied four different process options;  

Case 1 – Heap Leaching  

Case 2 - GalvanoxTM  

Case 3 - GalvanoxTM with secondary pyrite concentrate product  

Case 4 – Pyrite/Copper bearing mineral flotation concentrate transported by slurry pipeline
